Clare's
love of fashion, image and style began as a youngster when she designed and
made clothes and presented them in regional and state fashion shows as 4-H projects
for ten years. She was also a 4-H leader helping younger girls accomplish similar
goals. After graduating from the University of Nebraska, she moved to St. Louis,
Missouri, where she was a buyer for two better department stores. As a buyer,
Clare traveled extensively to the fashion markets in New York, California and
Europe.
Opening her own business consisting of fine fashion apparel stores in St. Louis
was her next adventure. Clare owned and operated her stores for 14 years. Her
five stores provided women appropriate wardrobe choices for career, casual and
dressy events. Clothing, appropriate accessories and personal service helped
clients look good and feel great while pursing their personal dreams and goals.
Clare sold her business in 1985 and relocated to Florida with her husband and
family the following year.
Clare parlayed her years of hands-on experience with customers and the wealth
of fashion knowledge she has accumulated into a tremendously successful multi-faceted
career. She is in constant demand as a runway, commercial and lifestyle print
model. In addition, Clare works as an Image Coach throughout the nation.
Helping individuals polish their image and style is Clare's crusade. Whether
it's presenting workshops to associates in the workplace or consulting one-on-one,
Clare says, "The greatest joy I receive is to help one dream new dreams,
create new goals, develop a plan and move into action. I help one move through
the steps to look their best, feel their best and become their best."
Radio and television also called. She was the featured host and producer of
a weekly radio show, Fashion Focus, for two years. Then television called …she
wrote and hosted the National Television series, "YOUR NEW FASHION IMAGE."
This was a 13 week series filled with practical, real-life fashion and beauty
information. The show aired nationally on Public Television. Along with TV,
Clare authored her first book, Your New Fashion Image, and has created 13 seminars
on video.
